Dear Grace Church Family,
News of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to grip our nation and the world. Times like these bring out fear and trembling. While precautions are both helpful and necessary, it is also important to remember Christ’s words to us recorded in John 14:27:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you…
Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
Governor Beshear has recommended canceling church services this weekend. The session has agreed to continue in the worship of our Lord at Grace Church this Sunday. We do NOT plan on having our lunch after church. Our women’s and men’s studies are planning to continue meeting. We will reach out to you through email if there are changes in services or meetings in the next weeks. Additionally, you may check the church’s website for updated information: http://gcepca.org
In the interest of our church family’s health and safety, please stay home if:
- you are sick
- you might be sick
- you have a compromised immunity system or are otherwise at risk
Please do let us know if you are sick so we can help you!
Additionally, to protect ourselves from respiratory illness, the CDC recommends the following everyday preventive actions:
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
May the Peace of Christ be with you,
Pastor Monty Hershberger and the GCE Session.
