Our Vision

Connecting our community to the glorious God of all grace – a place to belong for those brought to life by Him.

Our Mission

To glorify God by being a gospel-centered fellowship in which we engage in authentic worship, lovingly lead people to Jesus Christ, equip them to be disciples, and minister the grace of God within and outside our community.

About The Pastor

David Atkisson, Senior Pastor

David began serving as our pastor in July, 2008. A graduate of Berea College and Reformed Theological Seminary, David is married to Lynn and is the father of three adult children and grandfather to four grandchildren. Prior to Grace Church Elizabethtown, David and Lynn served as missionaries with Mission to the World (MTW) in Campinas, SP, Brazil. There, he worked with a national pastor in developing sports, mercy, and English as a Second Language (ESL) ministries among the urban poor. Formative experiences have included being an athlete, teacher and coach, living in various places in the US and Brazil, and suffering through a season of depression. Influential voices in David’s life include C. John Miller, R.C. Sproul, Jonathan Edwards, Tim Keller, Scotty Smith, Thomas Brooks, J.I. Packer, Dale Ralph Davis, and Elias Medeiros. In His free time, you might find David spending time with his wife taking her to Bluegrass music festivals, reading, playing with his grandchildren, eating good Brazilian BBQ, or cheering on F.C. Barcelona.
